Learn the Cooperative Values & Meet MONTEVIDEO (Uruguay)

We are a non-profit organization, formed by a diverse group of workers that includes artists, professors, psychologists, and students of diverse careers. Our main objective is the management of socio-cultural, environmental and educational projects for the benefit of the community.

We promote art, community gardens and recreational activities for children and young people in the Capurro neighbourhood in the city of Montevideo.

Since 2014, we opened a space for cultural exchange at the Cooperative's facilities, which can be used by the neighbourhood community and national and foreign artists to present their initiatives.

We also promote culture through music education and support in academic studies. Always open to the proposals of the neighbourhood we have been developing different projects, from spaces for musical artists, to different groups that have requested a space where they can meet.

We deeply believe in networking, all our activities are developed from the cooperative commitment with other groups, defending diversity, betting on inclusion, respecting opinions and promoting action.
