Help Kids livin n Prostitution Areas in SEMARANG (Indonesia)

This project is about non formal education with the children who live in a prostitution area.

Aims:

• To motivate the children about the importance of education

• To organize activities and non formal education with the children in this area famous for prostitution

• To exchange culture between participants, local people, and local students

• To Empower local people to be more aware on eco-friendly lifestyle, & health with the reduction of GARBAGE and respect of their environment

Objectives:

• To create fun –educative (non formal approach) activities for children.

• To motivate the community (especially teenagers in the area).

• To strengthen international friendship among countries through NGOs.

• To deepen and to promote mutual understanding between Indonesian and foreign volunteers.

• To exchange the vision of each country’s living aspects, including education, culture, and way of life, especially which concerns to education and children.

• To spread out the idea of voluntary service and international work camp among the local people.

Items needed: - 2 Cameras for filming our activity in our project. - Toys (any toys) for children. - Drawing Books (it will be awesome since the children really love to draw!). - You may (if its possible) bring something special from you country for your host family.
As a VISITOR we would like to share with you: We want to invite you to participate in our activities (there is a reasonable price for the food and accommodation while you participate with us, which supports the development of our communities) . Examples of activities (always depending on our schedule) : GARBAGE RACE WITH THE KIDS, MINI THEATER with the KIDS
Want to VOLUNTEER mid or long term ? Here are the conditions :) : Volunteers will stay in the host family as well so you may (if its possible) bring something special from your country for your host family.
